Angie and I went to our favorite thrift store the other day, and among a boat load of other goodies (which will be revealed in the upcoming weeks), I found a partial box of vintage Christmas ornaments. Oh so perfectly aqua, which is one of my three favorite colors! (Along with tan & linen white, of course.)
Fifty cents! I grabbed them up quicker than St. Nick goes up the chimney!
I carefully piled them into my favorite Ikea hurricane, adding my bumpy starfish on top.
Starfish strung by gossamer ribbon adds a sheer, wintery feel.
Serendipitous!
Remember: Transformation Thursday this week will be your favorite Christmas idea and we'll take a vacation day next week so you'll have one less thing to worry about! OHHH I can't wait!

20 sweet little love notes:
I can't believe you found those at a thrift store...well, I can. People donate some awesome things and arent' we lucky for it? Thanks for sharing.
How pretty! What a great find, that is so neat that they are vintage.
I have some of those boxes! My mom gave me all her ornaments a couple years ago and I have an assortment of pink, blue and other colors I don't use, but can't get rid of.
Hi, what a successful shopping spree. It's great when you find good bargains like these, and they are a beautiful colour.
I love aqua too! Although I totally got vetoed on the decision to decorate in aqua, silver and white for christmas! Pesky husband!
You lucky girl! I'd have snapped them up too!

Great find! I was able to score a box at a garage sale this summer! My friends were going for the designer clothes and I went running for the Christmas 'junk'... thank you to that family for getting rid of them!!!
Merry Christmas!
~Amy
I love that they are called "Shiny Brite" ornaments - too cute!
They look FAB with the starfish.
What fun cheery colors you found! There are a few thrift stores in my town that I've heard has a section set apart for just Christmas decor - I should check it out - I could spare 50 cents!! Love the tie in with the starfish. Thanks for your sweet comment during DIY day. Cheers!
I love old ornaments!!! Do you think I could set new ornaments in the sun and they will fade to a "vintage" look?
-Trish
What a happy find in a perfect color!
Those are perfectly lovely and I have to admit I like the package just as much as the ornaments!
I do love the vintage ornaments best. Come on over and see the ones that I found last week!

Merry Christmas Gina & Angie! What pretty bulbs. Isn't it funny how when were younger we want everything all shiny and new but now we adore all the aged patina that envoke all those wonderful memories.
Hugs...Tracy :)

Hugs, Lisa
