Done enough!

I'm done. Decorating, crafting, wrapping. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. If it were perfect it wouldn't be as enjoyable. Perfection is not something I strive for. Perfection is too easy to screw up.

So relax... enjoy this week! It will be gone in the blink of an eye. All those perfectly wrapped packages will be ripped open with paper shredded everywhere. All those decorations will soon be returning to their boxes to hibernate until next year.

Go bake cookies - even if they're break and bake. Sing those carols that will only be hanging around for a few more days. Step back, breathe, relax, enjoy.

Wishing you the absolute
merriest Christmas ever!

Merry Christmas! Great advice too. Our youngest son (10) and I made sugar cookies today. Martha's recipe from Just Beachy's blog. I haven't made them in a few years, and they did not work out. The dough just crumbles into little bits and won't roll. Oh well, we measured accurately, but I think the butter was not soft enough and it won't stick together. So, we are rolling and flattening them now to see if they will at least taste good. So much for all the cookie cutters. Maybe next year.

It's so true! I made myself stop decorating about 2 weeks ago so I would be forced to sit back and enjoy!

Oh goodness. I wish I could say good enough but some pretty serious gifts are still in the middle of being made. And I started in July? What good did that do me?
