Christmas Cheats - Ornament Garland

Got some extra ornaments that didn't fit on the tree (or a thrift store that sells them)?
Then this project could be the one for you!

I wanted a looooong garland (mine is 9 feet long) made from ornaments.  I tried a variety of methods -- but the ornaments would all slide up together.  I had extra ornaments and a thrift store -- but I am too cheap to use THAT many ornaments.  Plus that was not the look I was going for.  So after many tries I found the solution (aka the secret) -- 2 inch wide ribbon.  Just knot the end and push the ribbon through the tops of the ornaments.  The ribbon is wide enough not to allow the ornaments to move -- no extra glue, etc required.  I did put a small dot of hot glue on each ornament to make SURE the top does not seperate from the glass.  I have three kids -- chances are this garland will get bumped before the season is over...

My looong version of this garland was complete and up in the blink of an eye!  This is an easy one and made my kitchen sparkle with Christmas cheer!  Bonus -- this is not permanent -- I can use these ornaments in a different way next year.

Filling my house with Christmas cheer makes me smile!  I cannot wait for Christmas to get here -- sometimes I think I am worse than the kids!

~~ Merry Christmas to you all  ~~
