Two minute Tassle

I love tassles. They're girly and fluffy and the perfect decorating accessory. But... I've yet to make a real one. I'm waiting on The Nester's upcoming book to take on that task. While I wait, not so patiently - might I add, I whipped up a cheater's version last night. Thought I'd share it with ya.

Take some of those scraps left over from your ragamuffin garland (or just make some scraps about 12 inches long and 1 inch wide).  Bunch them up, just like we did with the cheater's ragamuffin garland.

Tie them together with a skinny ribbon.

Gather it all together and then wrap another skinny ribbon below the top and tie again.

Add a pretty bow and you're good to go! A two-minute tassle.. sweet and easy. And it will tide you over until Nester Girl spills her secrets on November 23rd.

You'd probably love the project I'm chasing down. I saw these finials with tassles (actually loops of ribbon) dangling from the bottom at Hobby Lobby recently. And I am just dying to make one of my own.

Well, my friend, hmmmm. You are a strong woman, and I think you can take it -- we'd better get you that book soon. For some reason I'm having memories of Halloween. Boo? I can only mention this because I've posted so many oddities, I seem to recognize them (I didn't mean that the way it sounded). Thank you for sharing, really!!!

Well I'm delighted to pop by and see your charming blog after a wee time away! The tassles are a cute little project~I'll have to try that some time soon!.., They can add such elegance to a decor as a decorative "added touch"..,

I have an unusual request to make of you my dear lady, I am asking all of my fellow bloggers whom I follow, to kindly send some "bloggy love" to my dear blogging friend, "Scone Queen"; ( she is also my personal friend of many years as well), because I want to uplift and encourage her whereas she has sadly suffered, THREE, FRONTAL LOBE, BENIGN BRAIN TUMOURS; one a decade!..,

You may reach her blog via the link on my, "The Plumed Pen" blog.., Or go to her directly @ The teatrolley.blogspot.com .., blog.

Many thanks in advance kind lady; it is much appreciated! ~I am asking folks to follow and/ or leave a comment as well for her;. She's such a sweet heart!

Cheers from Silken Purse
