With the current remodeling events of the week, I've quickly realized how many things in our projects come from the Habitat for Humanity Restore. I have a deep rooted space in my heart for the organization, even as a volunteer for our local chapter. We originally began using the store for the great deals that they offer, but I keep going back because of their wonderful works.
This week alone I have painted a Restore door with Restore paint, as well as painting the house with more Restore paint.
Actually all of the doors in our home were purchased at the Restore. The front and back door were both less than $20 each and our fabulous French doors were $100. That may seem a little high, but the same set at Home Depot was $300, not including hinges or hardware (which is another great perk of Restore doors).
Don't forget the sign up for the Purdy paintbrush giveaway, it ends at Midnight Friday night.
Have you tried the Restore?

18 sweet little love notes:
Those dentils over your are wonderfully elegant, I think. Did they come from Restore?
There is a Habitat store in Charlottesville and I admit I haven't been there. I'll make it a priority.
That exterior door is gorgeous!Love the little lantern too!
I'm going in October. Our restore only holds a sale every quarter and I have it marked on my calendar.
The ReStore is RiDiculious!! I love it there...you just never know what's gonna be in there! Great post!

My corner habitat is just minutes from my house!
Not good cause I go in there often. It's truly amazing what good deals there are. You brown paint almost looks like fudge in the bucket..such a yummy color I must say!
Gina -- Thanks for the reminder about the ReStore - I really need to go check ours out! xo

I wish we had one of these near us. What a great way to support Habitat for Humanity! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. :-)
I haven't heard of this before. I'll have to find out if we have one here.
Everything looks really nice. However, at first glance, I was thinking the first picture was of chocolate cake batter. LOL!
I LOVE our ReStore. My only issue is that they are only open three days a week and they are not usually the days that I make the trek into town. Oh well.
I will have to look at their doors more closely, there were some to die for bitty shutters last time.
I neglected our ReStore for several months, but once I finally went, I was hooked! My husband and I redid an entertainment center into a kitchen island for less than $100 with items purchased there. It's a great place.
No, We don't have one in our area. It would be nice if we had one, I could have used it when we madeover the kitchen.
There are two Re-stores in my area and one in a neighboring city. Thanks for reminding me that I need to head on over and take a look at what they have, get those creative juices flowing.
