Bedroom Bliss

Welcome once again to Transformation Thursday! It's the one day of the week we all come together to celebrate actually getting things done. Just put your permalink into MckLinky below to join in. Everyone is welcome! This week I'm celebrating finally getting my bedroom furniture painted.

The shape of it is lovely, it truly is. The color however? Eh..... not so much. It was bought in the 1970's, so you can imagine. However it is a really heavy, well built, solid wood set that my mother had my whole life, so when she gifted it to me I was quite thrilled. Can you see those pretty handles? No?

How about now? I sanded it, primed and painted, then coated it all well with polyurethane. That 25 cent quart of paint from the Restore totally transformed my bedroom furniture.

I've got more to share, since the bedroom is almost complete. I've got a couple of ideas to help finish it off before I'm all done, though.

If you'd like to join in, put your PERMALINK into MckLinky to the specific post. Please make sure to link back here so that everyone can join in on the fun. Check your entry. If you come back and it has been deleted, read this and try again. And.... away we goooooo....

Hi Gina,
That dresser looks great now. You can really see and appreciate it's nice lines, and the interesting hardware. Good job. Feels like those paint projects take forever doesn't it? Bet you're glad it's finally done, it really looks terrific!
Hope you can come by for a visit. I'm having a giveaway - my very first!
