Thanks for joining me again for another edition of Transformation Thursday. Each week we meet up to celebrate actually getting things done!
This week I'm celebrating getting our new front door installed. So, here's how to install a door in ten easy steps:
Step 1: Take a trip to the Habitat Restore and purchase a beautiful exterior door for only $20 -- marked down 75% from $80. (The Nashville Restore ROCKS!)
Step 2: Wait six months. Keep yourself busy during the waiting period by gutting your kitchen, building a porch and lots of Saturday thrift shopping.
Step 3: Comment to your husband about how you're looking forward to getting the door installed. Be sure to ask "whatcha gonna do today while I'm at work?" Oh, make sure that a couple of his off days each week are while you are working.
Step 4: Wait another month. In the mean time, keep him busy with things like building kitchen islands and new interior doors.
Step 5: Ask if the front door is on his "off day" list this week. Before you get off work, call to see how his day is going and if he had a good day.
Step 6: Get irritated when he brags about having a good day sitting on the couch and catching up on NCIS. Decide that today is the day that you will go home and do it yourself.
Step 7: Walk in the back door, put your things away and go change into your "after work" clothes.
Step 8: Go into the living room and squeal loudly with delight as you notice your new front door already neatly installed.
Step 9: Kiss your husband, then "pretend" fuss at him for lying to you about how he spent his day.
Step 10: Get your paint brush and give that door a new coat of cream paint.
After completing all the steps, stand back and admire your new entrance.

Yay for you, your new door and your fabulous hubby!
We have a restore, but you are soooo right about the n'ville restore(s) They both rock! You are one lucky chic(k) to be able to shop there. I go to both stores when I visit my daughter, however, I am limited to what I can shove in my suv.
I enjoy your blog! thanks for all the hard work you do in putting it all together.
