Chalkboard Crazy

I know ya'll like chalkboards. And I know ya'll love sharing your creative sides. And after soooo many of you have commented on my window chalkboard, I decided if I can show mine, then you can show yours!

I'm throwing a party on Friday, June 26th, and I hope you will all show up! Since Mr. Linky hasn't been acting very nice lately, I'm gonna link straight to your blog in the post on that day. No digging around to find a specific page, just straight to your home page. I like keeping it simple. Please post your chalkboard on that day (do it early, since the blog party will be up probably on Thursday night).

If you would like to show off your boards, send me an email with your name & blog addy so that I can add it to the list. Need inspiration?

How about Olive Rue's beautiful blue chalk board?

Or Leigh's plate turned chalkboard?

And here's my window again, just in case you forgot.

Don't have one? No worries! Make one between now and June 26th. Please send me your email confirming your blog will be attending by Wednesday, June 24th. Maybe we can even have a prize or two for the best, most creative, etc. (oh we'll figure it out!)

To RSVP, email me at theshabbychiccottage @ rocketmail.com. You can also send me suggestions or comments to the same addy.

So will you be joining in on the fun?

Well, I don't have one yet. I'll try to think of some ways to come up with one and get back with you though.

Ack! Oh the pressure! :-)

Now I'm going to poke around That Old House and see what I can transform into a blackboard. Dion the dog won't sit still long enough. . .

I'll let you know if I am successful!

I don't have one either, but I will try my best to come up with something. I think it would be great fun. I am also trying to find out who all would join me in a Cloche Party. Just show us your cloches, how you use them, where and what you decorate them with and etc., etc. If you would like to join, leave me a message on my post and I will set a date and get Mr. Linky going. I upgraded Mr. Linky to gold membership for $10 yr. and it works fine. I think the free one is being phased out. Just thought I'd let you know. Hugs, Marty

Thanks, Marty! I'm too cheap to pay Mr. Linky, so I will do it the 'hard' way. It's not that big of a deal to do only once in a while. I'd love to join in on your party!

What a neat idea for a party! I LOVE your blue chalkboard and the window one is pretty amazing, too!

You asked about my plates hanging on the wall, and yes, they are with plate hangers. I've tried different things and the cheap wire ones have always worked best! LOL!

Hope you have a great week! ~hugs, Rhonda :)

I think this is such a fun idea. I have nothing creative of my own to share, but I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with! :-)

I've been looking at this really big frame I don't use any more and thinking about refinishing it and putting a chalk board in there! You have motivated me! I must hurry to get it done before your blog party!!!
